Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 13, 2026

Welcome to SmashSenpai.com ("Website", "we", "our", or "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our Website and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect very little. We have no user accounts or comments, and we never ask for your name or email address to play.

  • Log data: IP address, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamps, and referring/exit pages. We use this for analytics and security.
  • Game data: anonymous "Smash" or "Pass" votes, character voting results, and leaderboard data. Game votes and leaderboard results are not directly linked to a user account or to information such as your name or email address. Your personal running vote count is stored in your browser's local storage, and clearing local storage resets it.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies, including your browser's local storage, to remember your vote count and measure traffic. When advertising is enabled, our advertising partners may also use cookies and similar technologies to display ads and measure their performance. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain the necessary consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies. We will provide an appropriate way to manage consent and privacy preferences where required. You can also clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings.

3. Advertising

The Website may display ads through third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. These partners may collect your IP address, device and browser information, advertising identifiers, and general browsing activity to serve personalized ads and measure ad performance.

You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can opt out of personalized advertising through:

We do not sell your personal data for money. However, under some U.S. state laws, sharing data with advertising partners for personalized ads may count as a "sale" or "share" of personal data. You can opt out using the links above.

4. Analytics and Data Storage

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Website. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We also use Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and the Realtime Database) to store votes, results, and rankings. Google acts as our service provider, and data may be processed in the United States or other countries. See the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (including the United States, the EEA, the UK, and India), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because we do not require user accounts or direct identifying information to play, we may not be able to identify data associated with a particular visit. You can contact us at the email address below to submit a privacy request, and we will respond as required by applicable law.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Website is a general-audience site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not require names, emails, or accounts to play. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.

7. Security and Retention

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect data, but no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We keep data only as long as needed for operational, legal, or security purposes.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use of the Website after changes means you accept the updated policy.
